In the past two years, we have been engaging more with the local communities and taking our training and ethos right to their door steps - classes in the local family centers and regular free workshops in the local parks. We have regular features in the local Guardian:
We are spreading our training and performance to the other places in London. Our performance in Havering Cultural Event tin October 2009 was well received by the local communities:
Shaolin Gongfu City welcomes media coverage to help communicate the message of Shaolin and its gongfu art. The school has been involved with various types of press coverage, including newspaper articles and BBC radio features. Shifu Shi Henglong also has a regular feature on self defence in a Chinese-English newspaper. The school participates in various public events to help promote Shaolin gongfu. This has included the Chinese New Year 2006 celebrations in London, where the students and masters performed on stage in Trafalgar Square to an estimated 200,000 visitors and countless TV crews.
